Independence Day in Costa Rica!
We did not attend the fireworks on the National Mall, did not perform an Air Force Band Concert this year, instead we went sightseeing in Costa Rica. We took a bus to downtown San Jose, took another bus for a ride of 60 plus minutes to Volcano Irazu.
Volcano Irazu is the tallest Volcano in Costa Rica, it stands at 11,259 feet. It was a cool day in Costa Rica especially when you are over 2 miles above sea level.
As we were driving up the volcano, we could see the weather changing for the worse. Our enjoyable morning at the volcano might be int"erupted" by the fog. While freezing on top of the volcano and trying to make the best of a bad situation, I prayed that God would give us a couple of minutes of visibility before our bus departed in two plus hours.
This is what we enjoyed.
